The Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement
Will Be Available for Public Review and Comment in Early Spring 2019

The public comment period is now closed. Thank you for your participation in the public involvement process.

Public involvement is a fundamental aspect of the environmental impact analysis process. The Navy encourages the public, government agencies, elected officials, and organizations to participate and comment during the public involvement process.

The purpose of this scoping period was to receive substantive comments from the public on the development of an environmental impact statement by identifying the scope of the analysis, including potential environmental issues and viable alternatives.

The Navy accepted comments throughout the extended public comment period, which began Aug. 22. 2017, and ran until Oct. 6, 2017.
